I am an economist and Deputy Head at the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI), where I am responsible for the research area of migration and integration. I am also currently a PhD candidate affiliated with the Helmut Schmidt University, where I am in the final phase of my dissertation. My research focuses on labor economics, economic history, migration economics, and the economic consequences of technological change.
