I am an economist and Deputy Head at the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI), where I lead the research area on migration and integration. I hold a PhD in Economics from the Helmut Schmidt University Hamburg. My work covers labor economics, economic history, and migration economics, with a special focus on understanding the economic and social consequences of technological change.
